International success for Rita and Michael Schlamberger for their award-winning documentary about Kalkalpen National Park ‘Making an Ancient Forest’.

At the end of July nominations for this year’s ‘Emmy Awards’, the most prestigious television awards in the world, were announced in New York. Our film ‘Forest of the Lynx’ (produced for PBS WNET / Thirteen) gained a nomination in the ‘Documentary’ category for “Outstanding Cinematography”.

The film reached a market share of over 26% in its first run on ORF Natural History (Austrian Public Broadcaster). When ‘Forest of the Lynx’ premiered in the U.S. on PBS in June 2017, the film had more than 1.3 million viewers. This film’s success can also be seen by worldwide sales to more than 30 TV stations. In addition to European countries such as Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark and Sweden, the film was also sold to China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Canada, Mexico and the USA. Within the last three years, the film has won more than 30 national and international awards and is consequently one of the most successful ScienceVision productions by Rita and Michael Schlamberger.
